Jess got a parcel today thanks of Hero Paws – Life after Service.

In case you didn’t know Jess was a RAF Drugs Dog and is now a Veteran and been living with us as part of our family. I have recently registered Jess with Hero Paws as like any other Military Veteran I believe she also needs to be counted.

Also, Hero Paws is a nominee with The Soldiering on Awards.

Today it was my great pleasure to speak at Carers Oxfordshire in regard to the Veteran Carer and how we as a cohort we continue to be over looked. It was even more important to me being Armed Forces week.

Did you know that according to the 2021 census the proportion of disabled veterans was larger than the proportion of non-veterans (32.1% compared with 19.6%) so surely logic would say that the veteran carer proportion would also be higher?
